NEWS RELEASE---March 2005

The first Saturday in April was windy and cold downtown Red Level, but the sun shined bright as the community came together to salute Rene Taylor Beam as the First Citizen
of Red Level, especially for taking interest in our town and for taking pride in its appearance. Rene recently passed away, but we all agree that her sense of community spirit will be with us from now on.

The late Conway Twitty's son, Michael, and band; along with very talented locals, came to town to salute the memory of Rene and to express their love for her family. The Red Level Beautification Club is currently working to further honor the memory of Rene and her matchless example set for all of us as community members.

The Reverend Gary Holloway, the pastor from Pigeon Creek Baptist Church, gave an invocation expressing the loving esteem held for Rene by their church family.

Larry Pittman, Logan Pace, and other local entertainers were part of the Red Level community's "Nae" Day.
