Red Level, Alabama, December 1, 2004 – The Red Level Beautification Club and the newly appointed streetscape committee are joining efforts to sponsor a Christmas parade through downtown Red Level, followed by arts and crafts booths, food booths, and entertainment at the Crystal Springs Park with the theme Christmas-in-the-Park. The December 11 event is planned to help raise money for the current streetscape project for downtown Red Level.
Money prizes are being offered for the top three floats entered in the parade. The top float wins $75, second brings $50, and the third place float captures a $25 prize. The parade assembles at the ball fields north of Grange Ford Road, and parade participants are asked to be at the field no later than 10:15 A. M. Saturday to begin the formation. The parade route follows a route from the sports complex to Main Street through downtown, and it continues up Barrow Road to Fairmount Baptist Church where the parade will dissemble.
Following the parade, there will be lots of fun, food, and entertainment with Christmas-in-the-Park! Children and adults may have their pictures taken with Santa Claus! Booths can be rented for $15. For more information, call the Town Hall at (334) 469-5351. Click here to view parade pictures.
